Biblical Advice for Christians who are separated or divorced.

I am often asked about the advice I offer to those Christians who find themselves in the grievous situation of a marriage breakdown and subsequent divorce. Below are two videos that were created at the beginning of Blended not Shaken Ministries, that offer counsel and support to such people in our Christian communities.

In the first video, I begin by addressing “Those who have married the wrong person”. I want to add to this by saying that God never makes mistakes and nothing takes Him by surprise. He knows all things and even decisions we will make in the future that we deem ‘wrong’. Yet God in His grace and love, although allowing us to make such ‘mistakes’ are used by Him to help fulfil a greater purpose, much of which we may never see the benefits of or reasons why on this side of eternity. So really, did we indeed marry the ‘wrong’ person? But that question is for another time.

The first video briefly addresses the biblical view of sin, repentance and forgiveness, including the sin of divorce and encourages separated and divorced people to see themselves as God sees them after repentance. The second video offers more specific advice for divorced Christians and draws from my own experiences.
